FAMILY | Walden Scrapbook Kit
The beautiful floral paper in the background inspired the color scheme for this layout. I decided to go back to the basics by pulling out my butterfly punches and handsewing through them on my page. Aren't the grey alphas in this kit so beautiful?
HAPPY DAY | Walden Scrapbook Kit
This is my second main kit only layout for this month. I saw the beautiful patterned papers in this month's kit and knew the colors would work perfectly for a layout about fall. I chose the card kit digital leaf stamps and made them cut files so I could cut some leaves out with my Silhouette. I popped up the outlined leaves with some foam tape and offset them as well for some fun interest and dimension.
LOVE | Walden Scrapbook Kit, Concord, Pine Hill, & Baker Bridge
This layout involved lots of layering bits and pieces from the Maggie Holmes ephemera in the Concord add-on. I also had to try out the cool stitching template. The beautiful wood veneer wreath is from Baker Bridge, and I love how it looks here but I also wish I had a second piece of it because it's so pretty :)
REMEMBER | Walden Scrapbook Kit, Concord, Pine Hill, & Baker Bridge
My favorite way to summarize a trip - a 2pager featuring a full-size photo & multiple small photos! I used the frame stamp from Pine Hill to create a gallery of frames on the right side and I filled them in with little photos and embellishments. Love the Paislee Press digital stamps too and they worked perfectly for my title on the left.
As for this month's Project Life kits, so happy to see there is a Christmas themed add-on this month - Garland Road. I'm partially biased towards Firchburg though because I had the opportunity to design the stamp for this one :) Hope you like it!
PROJECT LIFE HOKKAIDO | Walden Project Life Kit
This PL spread documents our adventures in Hokkaido, Japan. It was such a dream! I chose some of my favorite photos to summarize the days we spent there. I also used a couple of my favorite cards and a scattering of embellishments from this month's kit.
Using digital stamps (like the Paislee Press ones) and type right on my photos before printing them out is one of my favorite little techniques for PL. It creates a very clean and cohesive look in my spreads, even though I mix in my own handwriting.
I mentioned how I fell in love with the Baker Bridge add-on stamp set right? I used the digital version of that stamp here with my Silhouette to create that 'adventure' filler card.
Along with the monthly printables & cut files, you can also find my designs in the Firchburg PL add-on (the stamp set), and the Xmas PL Card Set this month. Enjoy!
Thanks so much for visiting everyone! Hope you had a happy weekend.
