Studio Calico's Park Ave!

Lots of beautiful, bright colors and fun embellishments in this month's Studio Calico December kit - Park Ave. The kit is now live for subscribers, and will be available for everyone else tonight at midnight EST. (Links in this post will work for everyone then!). Let's dive right in - here's what I made this month:

YOU'RE MY FAVE | Park Ave Scrapbook Kit
So much to love about this month's main scrapbook kit! I really like the buildings paper and cut out some of them to put beside my photo, which made it look like they were an extension of my photograph. I then cut out my title with my handy Cameo. It is seriously one of my best scrapbooking investments.

Though there are so many bright colors in the kit, I decided to go soft and floral for this girly layout about my niece. I interspersed some cut out flowers with some transparencies, and added a bit of floral doodling with my white pen.

HOLIDAY VIBES |  Park Ave Scrapbook Kit, Ritz, Helmsley & Waldorf
Hands down, Waldorf is my favorite scrapbook add-on this month! Look at that adorable bear stamp! I handstitched his scarf with some embroidery thread to give the layout more texture :) The left side features my Christmas pinterest board, and the right side has some recent photos I've taken. This layout is all about the holidays...I'm definitely excited for December! Are you?

SUPER FUN | Digital Layout
Making a completely digital layout was a rare moment for me, but I knew it would be the best way to go to incorporate all the cute Lizzie MacKay digital stamps (her stamps can be found in the Waldorf add-on and the Birthday stamp).  I used Paige's background cut file as the actual background for my layout and filled in some of the diamonds with digital stamping! I really had fun making this one.

I used this month's Project Life kit to wrap up my trip to Japan back in October. Love the fun embellishments included with this kit.

I was very excited to get to use one of my own PL card designs since it was included in this kit (it's the postcard-style one!). To get the photo beside it to match the postcard, I typed 'Yokohama' and used the 'let's get away' digital stamp on the photo to make it seem like a postcard picture. I also love the KP sticky notes included in the kit!
This is another PL kit only spread. I like to keep my PL spread very clean, with some digital stamping and mix of typed text and handwritten journaling. This month included some unique embellishments like the crepe paper cityscape as well as the chipboard stars, so I had fun using those as well!

Hope you have a lovely Thanksgiving, for those of you in the US! Happy shopping everyone!

  1. Love everything you've made this month!

  2. Oh wow, they all look so amazing!

  3. Love these layouts, especially the first two! Thanks for sharing!

  4. love your fun lay out and PL page spreads! Do you use white non texture bright white card stock like a Neenah or is it just a regular Bazzill textured paper?!? tia
