Studio Calico // Jolly Holiday + New Classes!

Hey everyone! Studio Calico's May kits, Jolly Holiday, went live over the weekend and I thought I'd pop in and share what I made this month :)

Starting off with my personal favorite - my NYC layout. I just chose a few of my favorite photos from my recent trip there and created a grid layout. There are so many fun patterns in this month's scrapbook kit so I went to town using them for a few of the squares. I also added some embellishments - love love love the stickers, die-cuts and puffy shapes!

This is my second scrapbook kit only layout for this month. I loved the 'home' themed stamp set and used that to create the design of my page. We stayed with relatives while in DC so it was really nice to catch-up with them and we were definitely thankful for their hospitality! I used a whole bunch of different Color Theory ink pads to stamp the houses so that there would be extra pops of color on my page.

Happy Place
My final layout for this month was primarily made with the Spoonful add-on. I kept things quite simple because I wanted the focus to be on the photo and the cool transparency words that are included in the kit. I layered an orange 'happy' on top of the green 'happy place' for a bit of a unique look and the '5' flair badge was perfect since there were five us on this trip :) I love little coincidences like that.

I may be a bit biased but I love this month's Documenter kit as well :) You'll find several In a Creative Bubble cards included in the kit and the bright colors + fun embellishments make it a winner. And as always, there are new subscriber workshops this month for even more inspiration with the kits. We have Karen Baker and Chantal Phillip teaching them this month and I'm looking forward to seeing what they share :)

Speaking of classes, there is a new SC class this summer called Summer of Sketches, led by Jamie Waters. I've been a fan of Jamie's work ever since I first started scrapbooking in high school so I'm really excited to see her teach this class! Here's some more info about it:

Looking for some creative inspiration to get you through the summer? Join Jamie Waters and her team of talented contributors for a summer-long session of “round robin” sketch inspiration. From June to August, each week will bring you a new lesson bursting with fresh sketches that provide the ultimate starting point for any story you want to tell. Every Monday, students will have access to a new video and layout from Jamie, two additional layouts from contributors and four all new sketches. By the end of class, you’ll have access to a treasure trove of inspiration, ready for any time you need a little creative boost!

You can also get a free 4x6 stamp set with enrollment (while supplies last), designed by my fave - Tina Aszmus. Yay for a summer of inspiration :)
