December Daily 2018 // Part II

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share my December 1-3 pages in my December Daily. Here we go!

December 1 // Decorating the Tree
We bought a new tree this year and that warranted a few extra pages and details. I ended up using a four 3x4 pocket page, a 3x8 insert, a tag, and a full size 6x8 photo. I'll show you the pages first before I go into a few of the details.

I plan on mixing up my numbers throughout my album, but I'm excited to start using the number tags I designed that are in the Festive and Fun kit! I put it right on top of my 3x4 photo as a little embellishment. As for the 3x8 card on the right, it's from the 3x8 'Tis the Season set and I glued a few star sequins to it.

The reason for the 3x8 insert was because I wanted to include this bokeh photograph of our new tree. It's our first time having warm white lights because our old tree always had colored bulbs and I love how they look. The chipboard pieces are from an past Ali Edwards December Daily kit and Crate Paper's Merry Days collection.

Finally, a quick look at the full size 6x8 photo when the 3x8 insert and the tag are flipped over.

I wanted to have a pop of teal on my page so I ended up trimming down one of my 3x8 cards (from the 'Tis the Season set). The white wood veneer tree is from Ali Edwards' December Daily kit (I believe it's the 2015 edition) and I stamped a little phrase on it from my stamp set in the Festive and Fun kit.

I made the little white tag myself and I used one of Ali Edwards' screenprints with silver paint for the stars. The numbers stamp is a very old one from Studio Calico. On the back of this tag, I wrote down specific details about our new tree (eg. its height, width, number of tree tips, bulbs etc.).

December 2 // Deck the Halls
December 2 was all about pulling out our Christmas decor and decorating the house. I snapped a lot of photos that day so I decided to create a collage in Photoshop. This page also includes a letterpressed number 2 coaster and a 3x8 divider page (from the 3x8 'Tis the Season set).

This letterpressed coaster has been in my stash for years now, and it came in one of the early December Daily kits that Ali Edwards released. I think the set came with 0-9 and I've only used a few of them. I just added a date stamp and a little star sequin to this 2.

On the back of the coaster, I cut a circle from grid paper so I could add my journaling. The stickers are from Crate Paper's Merry Days collection.

My 3x8 insert functions as a divider page to separate days 2 and 3. I used an Avery index tab on the side so that it would be easier to flip. The 'making spirits bright' stamp is from my set in the Festive and Fun kit.

December 3 // Ornaments
This page is a simple spread about some of the Starbucks ornaments I've collected over the years. The red card is from the Falala cards no.3 set and the holiday memories card is from the So Much Joy card set. I found an old Starbucks gift card in my stash that went perfectly with this page.

On the back of the 3x8 filler page, I included another 3x8 card from the 'Tis the Season set and a large chipboard 3 from one of Ali Edwards' older December Daily kits.

I'm slowly adding pages to my album every few days and I'm really enjoying the creative process. Are you creating a December Daily album this year? Let me know in the comments below!
