Mama Elephant Designer Series - Small Talk

Hi everyone! I'm here today and on the Mama Elephant blog to share a card I made using the new Small Talk stamp set. I really love this set and while the stamps may be small, they can pack quite a punch with their graphic designs and cute sayings.

I thought it would be really fun to stamp a background using the speech bubbles. I used Fresh Mint pigment ink and arranged the speech bubbles in a whimsical design.

Then I stamped the bear from Woodland Gifts (he's my favorite!), colored him in, cut him out with the coordinating die, and added some foam adhesive to adhere him to my card. He gets a little speech bubble that I stamped with black ink and adhered with more foam adhesive for contrast.

Now I've got a perfect card for any occasion. Hope that inspires you to try stamping a graphic background using smaller stamps and hope you like the card! Thanks for stopping by today :)

Mama Elephant - Bella Letters

Today is the final day of Mama Elephant's Stamp Highlights, and I have a card to share today using their new Bella Letters stamps.

This small sized alpha stamp set is really versatile and can be used for all sorts of cards or even Project Life (they're the perfect size for Project Life cards!). I decided to use them on my card here to stamp out the alphabet, then I highlighted the 'HI' by handstitching the letters. At the bottom, I added a little critter and speech bubble from Small Talk.
Hope you enjoyed the cards this week. Be sure to check out the Mama Elephant blog for more inspiration!

Mama Elephant - Woodland Gifts

Another day, another Mama Elephant Stamp Highlights! Today we're showcasing Woodland Gifts.

I adore these animal critters and decided to subtly color them with light grey ink. I stacked the rabbit and mouse on top of the log so that the bear could see them ;) Their stoic faces crack me up.

There are lots of possibilities with this stamp set, and you can find more inspiration on the Mama Elephant blog today.

Mama Elephant - Potted Pretties

Today is the final day of Stamp Highlights at Mama Elephant! We are showcasing Potted Pretties today, and I can't get over how cute and versatile this set is.

I stamped and colored the potted plants with my watercolor pencil crayons, then die-cut them with the coordinating Creative Cuts. To add an extra pop of color, I double-stamped and offset the sentiment with a light green ink!

Mama Elephant - Magic Moments

Today is Day Three of Mama Elephant's Stamp Highlights! Today we're sharing cards using the new Magic Moments stamp set, which is perfect for both scrapbooking and cards. I love it :)

I wanted to keep this really simple and create a tag that would be perfect for tying on a little gift! I used Magic Moments for the sentiments, and added a cute potted plant from Potted Pretties. I pulled out my Staedler pens to color in the plant with a fun crosshatching technique.

Mama Elephant - Photo Bomb

Today is the second day of Mama Elephant's Stamp Highlights, and we're highlighting Photo Bomb

I love that the selfie images fit perfectly in the polaroids from the Polaroid Fun Creative Cuts. I made an array of polaroids to house both the cute images and my sentiment. The gold star sequins added an extra bit of shine!

I used Freestyle Florals and the Sew Fancy Creative Cuts to make a whimsical background for Ella & her little rabbit friend. I decided not to use any sentiment, so that this card can be used for any occasion!

Mama Elephant March Stampede

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

I had so much fun playing with the new Ella & Friends stamp set to create a simple and cute, one layered birthday card! I colored in the critters with my Kuretake watercolors (my favorite set) and it's a bit difficult to see here but I used a beautiful, pearly color to 'ground' the animals. The sheen is so pretty in real life.

Mama Elephant Designer Series - Freestyle Florals & Zenith Borders

Hi everyone! I have a card up today both here and on the Mama Elephant blog, featuring the new Freestyle Florals and Zenith Borders. Both stamp sets are incredibly versatile and work well alone or together!

I started by stamping one of the border stamps from Zenith Borders with Hazel pigment ink on light brown paper to create a tone on tone look for my background.

I stamped some of the floral images from Freestyle Florals on watercolor paper, then cut them out with the coordinating dies. I painted the florals with my watercolors.

I layered my florals on my background, adhering some of them with regular adhesive and some with foam adhesive to add interest and dimension. I created a little happy birthday banner with the word stamps in Three Amigos.

Here's my finished card, and the pretty flowers paired with a subtle background and a simple sentiment make it perfect for a friend's birthday!

Thanks for joining me today!

Mama Elephant - Zenith Borders

Today is the final day of Stamp Highlights at Mama Elephant! We are showcasing Zenith Borders today, and it is such a versatile and fun set.

I used this stamp set to create a gender neutral birthday card. I stamped one of the border stamps repeatedly to create my pattern, and then I easily customized the color scheme with the single chevron stamp. There are so many possibilities with this set!

For more inspiration, you can head to the Mama Elephant blog to see what the other designers made with this set. Thanks for coming by!

Mama Elephant - Freestyle Florals

Today is Day Three of Mama Elephant's Stamp Highlights! Today we're sharing cards using the new Freestyle Florals stamp set, which has a beautiful handdrawn look.

I stamped the florals with various Mama Elephant pigment inks, then watercolored them to create a soft color scheme. The sentiment is from Make a Wish and by stamping it in black, it provides the perfect contrast from the florals.

You can see what the other awesome designers did with this stamp set on the Mama Elephant blog today. Thanks for visiting!

Mama Elephant - Three Amigos

Today is the second day of Mama Elephant's Stamp Highlights, and we're highlighting Three Amigos! This fun set comes with tons of useful sentiments and three cute animals. I really enjoyed playing with this one.

I colored in the animals with my watercolors, added one of my favorite Mama Elephant sentiments (from Surprise Sentiments) and stamped some confetti to make it extra festive. I am always in need of birthday cards, so this is a simple design I can see myself repeating. Love that you can switch out the sentiments that the animals are holding based on your card needs. Kryssi and Angela really think of everything!

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop! Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store!

I played with my watercolors and the super cute Bear Hugs stamp set to create this simple card. The cloud is a Stitched Sky Creative Cut and I decided to stamp tone on tone stars on the sky for a subtle effect. I love playing with this stamp set!

Mama Elephant Designer Series - Tiny Heroes

Hi everyone! I'm here and on the Mama Elephant blog today, sharing a simple and fun birthday card I made using their new Tiny Heroes stamp and an old favorite, Up & Away.

I started by blending my background using Stargazer Pigment Ink and adding the Cityscape to the bottom of my card.

I stamped one of the little superhero girls from Tiny Heroes and the balloon stamp from Up & Away on scrap cardstock, then cut them out. I colored them in with my markers.

I adhered the superhero and the balloons to my card using foam adhesive, and stamped one of the sentiments from Up & Away to complete the card.

The position of the superhero was perfect to make it look like she's holding the cluster of balloons, and the stamps work well together to create a colorful and fun birthday card!

Thanks so much for looking!

Mama Elephant - Shooting Star

Hi everyone! We're highlighting one last Mama Elephant stamp set this month - Shooting Star.

I thought the little girl in this stamp set is so cute, and I created some clouds for her to sit on with the new Stitched Sky Creative Cuts. The card needed an extra touch so I stamped some stars all over to match the sentiment.

As always, more inspiration can be found on Mama Elephant's blog! Thanks for joining me for the Stamp Highlights this week :) Happy Thursday!

Mama Elephant - Merci

Hi everyone! I'm back again with Mama Elephant, and we're showcasing the beautiful new Merci stamp set today.
The handlettered script in this stamp set is perfect for creating a bold statement. I made a one-layered card and by choosing black ink for the sentiment, it really allows it to stand out from the floral design.

I'm back with Mama Elephant again today, highlighting another new stamp set - Surprise Sentiments.

I really love the mix of script and clean fonts used in this stamp set. For my card here, I created a giant balloon using the Sew Fancy Creative Cut, blended some inks, and stamped the sentiment in the middle. The cute bunny is from Carnival Toppers!

Mama Elephant - Tiny Heroes

Hi everyone! Today is the first day of Mama Elephant's January release, and we are highlighting the new Tiny Heroes stamp set and coordinating die.
The superheroes are so cute and are great for any occasion. I used the new Sew Fancy Creative Cuts on my card base, as well as to create the circle negative. I blended my inks to create a night scene and colored in my little superhero to match the colors of the sky. I finished it off with a scattering of stamped stars!

You can find more inspiration for this stamp set on the Mama Elephant blog. I'll be back tomorrow for our next highlight :)
