I haven't done a pinterest-inspired layout/blog post since March, although I have been continually pinning inspiration and ideas onto my pinterest
boards. While I was on vacation, I wrote down a few layout ideas I wanted to try, based on some stuff that I pinned, and I finally put thought into action yesterday afternoon and made a layout.
As some of you may know, I love love love circles. I have a cropped version of this image in my pinterest (I found the full version of the image while searching for the source) and I remember pinning it because I was inspired by the color scheme and the overlapping circles.
With this piece in mind, I decided to recreate the circles with my favorite mists. I decided that my photo would be on the right side first, and then began masking and misting various sized circles on the left side of the page. The white misted circles were misted with
White Mister Huey. Here's the end result...
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. If I added some smaller misted circles and a favorite quote, I think this would look nice in a frame and it would make pretty cool wall art :) Maybe I'll try making a wall art version in the future.
Anyway, after misting the circles, it was just a matter of adding my photo, journaling, and title. I used minimal embellishments because I already had the misted circles. Here is my completed layout, featuring a breathtaking view that I saw in JiuZhaiGou, China back in the middle of June :) That tiny person in the photo is my mom, hehe.
