Happy December 1st! The holidays are officially upon us, and that means I get to work on my favorite seasonal project again - December Daily :) This is my 8th year making an album to document the holidays, and I'm looking foward to the magic and cozy moments and all the festivities that this season brings.
A couple of notes:
- I bought the new 6x8 red album from Ali Edwards to use for this project. The rest of the supplies I plan on using are things from my stash of past December Daily kits, holiday supplies + stationery, and my In a Creative Bubble printables.
- Once again, I don't plan on documenting things daily. I just want to fill this book with holiday/winter moments and memories, even if that means I have events pre-December, stories for multiple days, or some days without stories. I've done the daily approach before, but focusing on just the holiday stories worked out well for me in the recent years and was overall, less pressure/stress.
- Looking back at my past albums, these are some things I hope to do more of this year: use my Silhouette Cameo, insert more odd sized page protectors and things outside of pockets, and play with my supplies (time permitting!).
- I'm going to continue to print my photos for this project at home, simply for the ease and convenience of having my pictures ready at hand when I need them.
Here's a look at my title page this year.
I kept things very simple. I laid the snowflake background on a sheet of plain vellum to soften it. Then I used a green label sticker, alphas (from Studio Calico), and a rubber banner (from an old December Daily kit) to make my title :)
On the backside of my title page, I added a plain white label to cover the back of the green label. I didn't have room to date my album on the front of the title page so I just added some number stickers here to write out '2017'.

Since I knew my introduction page would be visible behind the vellum title page, I kept it very simple. I typed up this intentions/intro page and printed it on kraft cardstock, then added some gold star sequins and a strip of washi tape.
Thanks for visiting! I hope to work on my album every couple of days, so I'll try and share more December Daily pages soon. Happy weekend! xo.
These are lovely and very inspiring! I'm doing December memories because I won't be able to keep up on a daily one. I love your title page and intentions! I often get carried away by too many embellishment choices. I'm going to try to keep it simple this year. I think I'll get more done that way.
ReplyDeleteDo you still have the cut file? Would you be willing to share it? I love how it turned out.
ReplyDeleteHi, the cut file is now in my store as part of a set: http://creativebubble.bigcartel.com/product/winter-cut-files
